Happy Halloween, KlickNettars! If you are reading this Wkly Hit List now, you might be at a Halloween Party or in the middle of trick of treating. As for us, we are going all out on celebrating the spookiest night of the year, and you'll find out what means later on, but first here's an all new 5-Day Rounder featuring a Kwame's Pick that's gonna leave you screaming.
FakeTV Box is heading towards its 5th Anniversary Celebration in 2026, and not only that, the first show of the New Year will be the 200th Episode. But on a more sad, production for KlickNet Productions' Indie Short Film: Rhodey, NY will have to wait until 2026. We failed to film it this year and on top of that, we've been forced to part ways with our film collaborators Lens.Rush. It's not we've had some behind the scenes dispute or creative difference, but Lens.Rush has their own internal issues which, out of respect for them, I've chosen to keep private. They were kind enough to direct KlicKNet to others production groups that do the same things they do and we only one to agree to be our new partners. Moving back to FakeTV Box, a special Halloween episode is out now on our KlicKNet channel, featuring the official trailer for Marvel Television's Wonder Man; check it out in our Sneak Peek of the Week.
Our Inside Scoop this week is news that breaking right now. Variety reveals that after fourteen years and forty-six seasons, MTV is going to cancel its fan favorite clip series "Ridiculousness." I remember watching this show hosted by Rob Dyrdek at a young age with my sister, but of course I was more into to other shows like America's Funniest Home Videos, because it's more family-friendly and that's the way I like it. I'm sure after 14 seasons, nobody's gonna miss Ridiculousness for many different reasons, some have voiced a very serious fact that reruns of Ridiculousness dominated MTV’s linear programming. Variety reported back in 2020 that the series once took up 113 hours out of the network’s week-long 168-hour lineup. Variety believes the show became a symbol of MTV’s glut and lack of original programming, and it's hard to argue with that. MTV has been known for one thing and that's music and over the years the M in MTV would fade away little by little.

Of course, the reason why the show is ending comes from MTV. Variety says that: "According to a source familiar with the decision, the cancellation comes as MTV (which is under the Paramount umbrella) looks to feature a more curated slate of content that “embraces its experimental DNA” and represents “different creative voices” and a “refreshed programming.” So it seems as though MTV is looking to reinvent itself now that's owned by the Paramount–Skydance merger which looks to restructure its brands in the future. We have seen some brands like CBS get affected by the merger over the summer with CBS canceling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, many employees of CBS News getting laid off, and Gayle King set to leave ‘CBS Mornings’ in 2026 after her contract was not renewed. It's hard to even predict what the brands of Paramount will look in 2026, we don't know if the company will actually buy Warner Bros. Discovery next year, but the cancellation of Ridiculousness serves as further proof that big changes are happening right now at Paramount, some might agree with these changes, and some will not.
