Welcome to a very special Saturday edition of the Wkly Hit List. I thought we were done with these things on a Saturday, but a funny thing happened yesterday. I went Christmas Shopping on a week before the big day next week, the store chosen to do all my Christmas Shopping this year was Kohl's. Personally there were other places I could have gone like Target, but nobody trusts that store anymore, next year I'm going to Macy's because it's everybody's second [if not first] favorite place to shop during the holiday. In case anyone is wondering, I feeling much better from compared to last week, turns out I had the flu but I fought it off the best way that I could, with a whole lot of chicken-flavored noodle soup. Of course, I'm still coughing and a little bit sniffling, but nothing's gonna keep from talking about some of the news highlights from the last few days. With all that being said, let's go over this week's 5-Day Rounder, which has happens to be the last one for 2025.
The KlicKNet team has been hard at work all week piecing together a brand new episode of FakeTV Box and now KlicKNettars will see it premiere tomorrow morning at 11:30AM EST on our YouTube channel. This episode is a Christmas special featuring reactions and breakdowns of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and DC Studios' Supergirl, both coming to theaters in 2026. It amazing how we've done an episode about two movies that have the word "Super," and we did it while I was battling the flu for so long. Be here at 11:30AM tomorrow to catch this new episode which we're dubbing as the last Sneak Peek of the Week of 2025.
Our Inside Scoop this week is continuing coverage of Warner Bros. Discovery Splitting and Selling. If you KlicKNettars remember correctly, two weeks ago we covered the breaking story that Netflix bought the Warner Bros. streaming and studios divisions for $83 billion and at $23 per share. The deal would allow the Global Linear Networks division to be spun off into Discovery Global in 2026, however not everyone is happy by this situation. Reactions to the Netflix-Warner Bros deal has received unfavorable reception, with many voicing concerns at how it would affect the entertainment industry. One entity have voiced their opinion about the deal the most is Paramount Skydance who gave tried again and again to buy all of WBD. Three days after the initial Netflix-Warner Bros deal, Paramount Skydance submitted a hostile takeover bid valued at $108.4 billion and at $30 per share.

For Netflix, buying the film and streaming division would bolster the streaming giant's movie offerings, while heading off any potential rivals looking to get their hands on the Warner Bros content. Meanwhile, Paramount Skydance is looking for a partner that will give it the scale to compete against industry giants such as Netflix, Comcast, and Disney. Paramount has even argued that its bid provids greater value to shareholders by including Warner Bros.' full studio, streaming, and cable-network operations, unlike the Netflix deal which excluded linear networks. A takeover would build on The Ellison Family's purchase of Paramount, which they folded into the Skydance film studio this past summer. Though it no secret that the Ellison Family has ties President Trump, so they simply want to buy all of WBD knowing that the current commander-in-chief will help them tremendously with making a deal a reality. However, WBD is smarter than some people give them credit for, as the company's board of directors have unanimously rejected Paramount’s bid for Warner Bros. Discovery and have told shareholders to not only do the same, but to also proceed with the Netflix acquisition which they believe to be more superior.
It won't be too long before Paramount Skydance makes another all-cash bid for Warner Bros. Discovery which means that the bidding war will continue as we all head into the new year, even though WBD will reject them again. Many key figures within Netflix and Warner Bros believe that the merger between both sides will be completed in 2026, if not later, but what happens after post-merger is still a mystery. In my personal opinion, I'm more looking forward to seeing what becomes of Warner Bros. Discovery under new management once again, only time will tell if Netflix is the one to keep can keep it a float unlike past partner, and if Paramount Skydance will finally realize that a Batman vs SpongeBob Crossover is simply not meant to be.
