This is the last Wkly Hit List of the month of February. Next week, one lucky guy on our KlicKNet team is celebrating 30th Birthday. I can't tell you his name, but it almost sounds like Krazy! We also plan to throw a birthday party in New York City and we really hope a lot of people show up because we already have the venue booked for reservation and it would be a crying shame if nobody but me us showed up for my his 30th Birthday. Anyway, lets focus on the 5-Day Rounder for this week, as well as Kwame's Pick which is might leave you a little speechless as why I picked this article.
We're planning the next new episodes of FakeTV Box this weekend as well as next week. One of them involves Disney/Pixar's newest animated film, Hoppers, coming to theaters on March 6th. We're still trying to figure out this movie just like everybody else, I mean it's a bad idea that Pixar has cooked, and I think families everywhere would pay to let their kids see it. The movie revealed a "Big Game Spot" during the start of Super Bowl LX this past Sunday, come check it out in our Sneak Peek of the Week.
It's Flashback Friday again, which means we have another iconic episode of FakeTV Box as we celebrate the show's 5th Anniversary all year long. This one's is the very first LIVE episode of FTB covering San Diego Comic-Con 2022, and what makes it so iconic was that many announcements were made that night including, Marvel Studios revealing the entire slate of The Multiverse Saga in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, all Marvel fans know that lot has changed for the MCU since San Diego in 2022, still is was a great honor for KlicKNet to announce everything Marvel Studios announced on our show, and we hope to have another opportunity like that again in the future.
Last week in our Inside Scoop, we had a really long discussion about Josh D'Amaro becoming the Next CEO of The Walt Disney Company and Dana Walden becoming President and Chief Creative Officer. This week, we just wanna talk about Josh D'Amaro alone and this discussion take deep dive on how D'Amaro intends to run the company once he takes over Bob Iger next month in March. According to an article by the Hollywood Reporter this week, which conveniently is titled "Where Disney's Josh D'Amaro Is Placing His Bets," the New CEO will look to "put his own stamp on the company" the same way Bob Iger did by making blockbuster acquisitions like Pixar and Marvel and pushing [Disney] into new tech-forward lines of business like streaming with Disney+. So the question is: "What risks will D'Amaro take in his role as CEO?"

According to THR:
"The list of items on his to-do list will be long. What should Disney’s structure look like going forward? How does he expect Walden to rally the creative forces in her new role? (Not to mention that Walden’s ability to harness and grow Disney’s content engine will be one of the big stories to watch in the coming years.) And, perhaps most important: How should Disney embrace technology? And does linear TV have a role in that future?"
All of these questions are really interesting, Josh D'Amaro has been with The Walt Disney Company since 1998. His biggest achievements are becoming President of Disneyland Resort in Anaheim from 20178 to 2019 and President of Walt Disney World Resort from 2019 to 2020. When Bob Chapek was named CEO of Disney in 2020, D'Amaro took his place as Chairman of Disney Experiences and it goes with saying that for the last Five and a Half years, he has success managing the attractions, cruise ships, merchandise and retail of all six theme park resorts in California, Florida, France, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo. During the COVID-19 pandemic, D'Amaro oversaw the reopening phases of every Disney Theme Park that were forced to close in order to prevent further spreading of COVID. D'Amaro now finds himself running the whole Disney company which is structured by the Big Three Es: Entertainment, ESPN, and Experiences. It seems like too much for D'Amaro to handle on his own which is probably why Dana Walden was named President and Chief Creative Officer to make the workload easier for D'Amaro. When Walden steps into her new role, she will also take big risks but from a creative standpoint, she will push the people making Movies, TV Shows, Theme Park Attractions, Products, Merchandise, and Sports Events to bring their A-Game.

For D'Amaro, the risks he will be taking will involve gaming and interactivity. Sources believe that those will be "key strategic priorities for him when he takes charge." D'Amaro has claimed that the Company will not rely too much on A.1. for he believes that Humans and Technology can co-exist in a place of business like Disney. The new CEO will be spearheading Disney’s push into AI-generated content with its groundbreaking partnership with OpenAI. They look to make so many beloved Disney characters available for users to create videos with in Sora and perhaps, within Disney+. With Gaming, Disney can rely on its partnerships with Epic and/or Electronic Arts, or pursues a major acquisition deal to get into the gaming business themselves. Either way, THR says, everything will D’Amaro’s call to make, including what's to become of Disney's linear TV structure which consists of ABC and ESPN. The idea of spinning out or selling off its portfolio of linear networks remains up in the air, but it might too much of a challenge for Disney right now. Once again, we'll just have to wait for the years to come to see what Josh D'Amaro does in his new position as CEO, and whatever decisions he makes that could affect we make Disney a part of our everyday lives.
