BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER KLICKNETTARS! This is a very special Wkly Hit List this week because we have a brand spanking new Inside Scoop. Apologies for not being here last week, but the KlicKNet Productions Team and I were determine to finish last week‘s episode of FakeTV Box before the start of the weekend, and in case you don’t know, we are in the process of editing a new one for next week. I’m so excited to be back after being off of a week, for I’m about to recap the season two finale of Daredevil: Born Again, now streaming now on Disney Plus. Then afterwards, I'm going to you my overall thoughts about the entire second season of Born Again because I always want to try something that I have done before on the KlicKNet website, so let's begin. WARNING: This piece may contain spoilers, so if you haven't seen the Eighth and Final Episode of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 yet, stop reading now. But if you would like to continue at your risk, then be my guest.

The Trial of Karen Page continues, but Matt Murdock is nowhere to be found, that's because he got shot in the last episode. Matt's ex-girlfriend Heather Glenn is on the stand and Matt and Kirsten question her about her actions towards Karen last episode. Seeing Matt and Heather officially interact for first time this season is something I've been dying to see, the tension between them feels so real, but it's nothing compare to what happens when summons Mayor Wilson Fisk for questioning on the incident aboard the Northern Star which includes Matt presents Officer Savva's video testimony against Fisk. He also mentions to the court that Daredevil was on the ship and can corroborate Fisk's crimes, I should also point that Jessica Jones and New York Governor Marge McCaffrey arrived in the middle of Fisk's testimony and boy did they arrive in time to witness a courtroom shocker. Matt Murdock made the decision to reveal to the court that he is Daredevil and the reactions from most of the characters were spot on. Heather was shaking her head in disgust, Jessica was pretty pleased, AVTF Officer Powell was impressed that the blind lawyer is secretly a vigilante, Karen's jaw dropped when Matt revealed himself though you can tell she was pissed with him, and Fisk was simply unmoved by it and dismissed that Matt has accomplished nothing.

But that's so far from the truth because this moment convinces the judges of Fisk's abuse of power and to dismiss Karen's case. In a building near the courthouse, Dex aka Bullseye takes out AVTF officers and a Bullseye impersonator who have been ordered to assassinate Matt. Fisk attempts to leave the courthouse and is approached by Governor McCaffrey who tells him that his days as Mayor are over, then we get see Kingpin and Jessica Jones interact for the first ever in the MCU 'cause how could the Born Again writers not think to put that in the episode. Then we get to Matt and Fisk leaving the courthouse at the same time and here's something that doesn't seemed to be talked about much. Matt is walking out with all the people on his side (Karen, Kirsten, Jessica, McCaffrey) and Fisk is walking out with all the people on his side (Cashman, Heather, Powell, the DA Benjamin Hochberg), we got ourselves a little Team Daredevil vs Team Kingpin, it's the Civil War of New York City that ignited when Bullseye attempts to kill Fisk, but Cashman takes the bullet for Fisk, which provokes the soon-to-be-former Mayor to have the courthouse on the lockdown. Matt and company sealed themselves in an office while Fisk takes refugee in the courtroom, and as Fisk declares a state of emergency to the people of New York City, BB reveals herself as the masked Fish impersonator in those smear campaign videos that were going on all season.

She encouraged everyone to rise up and put an end to Kingpin's reign of terror, and many protestors show to the courthouse wearing their own Daredevil mask. AVTF officer Cole North disregards Powell's orders and lets them in after growing disillusioned of him and Fisk. Gov. McCaffrey and her attorney general have now offer Fisk a deal to avoid charges if he goes into exile, but he refuses to take the deal and begins to completely lose his mind. With the chaos quickly escalating, Matt realizes that it's time to spring into action, and so he suits into Daredevil and with help of Jessica and Angela aka White Tiger, beats the living freak outta AVTF officers, at the same time Fisk goes full Kingpin mode and kills numerous protestors who run away like crazy, some try to fight back but to no luck. Once he makes his way to the central chamber of the courthouse, where he is met by Team Daredevil and hundred of more protestors, and despite his final appeal to his constituents, we see protestors run up the stairs to get their hands on Fisk, which is very dumb because he clearly has some left in the tank if you know what I mean. I'm amazed that there's so much Fisk can take until there's too many to fight back, of course Daredevil and Jessica come to the rescue and break it up, and Matt finally convinces Fisk to take the deal to exile himself from NYC so he won't have to go to jail.

We now come to the final minutes of the episode where the AVTF is disbanded and arrested, Jessica Jones and her daughter Daniella are reunited with Luke Cage (played by Mike Colter). Sweet Christmas, it's great to see Cage again in the MCU; we learned that his services with Mr. Charles are no longer required as Mr. Charles has decided to replace him with Bullseye. Elsewhere, BB is hired by the New York Bulletin for her work in uncovering Fisk's activities, Heather puts on Muse's mask which could only mean that she officially snapped, and Kingpin finds himself on a tropical island all alone. Last but not least, Matt and Page go on a date together, but Matt is incarcerated for his years of vigilante activities as Daredevil. So the second season of Born Again has come to an end and I think it truly surpass the first season in more ways than one upping the stakes. I loved everything from the writing, to the story arcs to the epic fight scenes; I'm giving it a 9.4/10 compared to the first season which deserves a 8.7/10 at best. Can't wait to see what rating I'm gonna give the third season next year, but moving on...
