It's the last weekend in May, and this Monday it's full steam ahead for June. We would like make two announcements, first off, Wkly Hit List will be off next Friday and will return June 12th. The second announcement is that KlicKNet Productions have decided to hire two producers to help bring our Indie Short Film Rhodey, NY to life and we'll be reaching out to these producers this weekend. Truth be told, pre-production has been a roller coaster for the better part of a year and a half but we hope we can make all the right decisions so that actual production can finally commence. With all of that being said, it's time for a brand new 5-Day Rounder with a Kwame's Pick that will sure to leave you a little surprised.

Our Inside Scoop is about a game of basketball that will decide the future of the next two weeks or so. It began last night in Game 6 of the 2026 NBA Western Conference Finals, the reigning and defending NBA Champion Oklahoma City Thunder were one win away from heading back to the NBA Finals, all they had to do was to hit the road and beat the San Antonio Spurs. Tons of people have picked the Thunder to close out the series in six games, but the Spurs had other ideas. Thanks to a 18–91 victory in Game 6, the Spurs were able to force a Game 7, the 160th Game 7 in NBA history and the first in the Western Conference Finals since 2018. Spurs' Star Player, the 7 ft 4 in "Alien" Victor Wembanyama, led the charge with a double–double of 28 points and 10 rebounds; he also had three blocks. Spurs' rookie Dylan Harper scored 18 points off the bench and Stephon Castle finished with 17 points and 9 assists. In the third quarter, the Spurs went on a 20–0 run and their defense held the OKC Thunder to 13 points in said quarter. Watch the Get Up Crew from ESPN comment on the Spurs' dominance last night.
2026 NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was held to 15 points on 6-for-18 shooting, and the Thunder's Jalen Williams, who was in the game for only ten minutes and spent most of the time on the bench, could scored only one point. So now we come to Game 7 will be played on tomorrow night in Oklahoma City and on NBC/Peacock at 8PM EST. So many people have taken their picks on who will be victorious in this Winner-Take-All matchup. The stats seem to favor the OKC Thunder because they are 4–0 in Game 7s, including last year in 2025 NBA Finals when the franchise won its first world championship. Meanwhile, the Spurs are heading into their first Game 7 since losing to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2019 playoffs; no players on the 2019 team are still on San Antonio's active roster. They drafted Victor Wembanyama as the 1st overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Wemby has taken this team from 13th Place in the Western Conference last season, to 2nd Place this year. But experts believe that if the Spurs win the Western Conference Finals this year, the will head into the NBA Finals with little experience compared to the Thunder would be no strangers to advancing to the Finals since they did it one year ago. You should hear who CBS Sports Commentators picked to win Game 7 tomorrow.
The Thunder are looking to be the first defending champion since the 2019 Golden State Warriors to make it to the NBA Finals for the second consecutive year, so there's gonna be a lot of pressure on them tomorrow in Game 7. One team that will be paying close attention tomorrow are the New York Knicks who have been on a tear throughout the 2026 NBA Playoffs and now advance the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. They've won 11 consecutive postseason games, they beat the Atlanta Hawks 4 games to 2 in the First Round, the Philadelphia 76ers in a 4-game sweep of the Conference Semifinals, and last Monday they completed a 4-game sweep in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Some believe their path to the NBA Finals was easy because the never faced the Detroit Lions and Boston Celtics who had better records this season than the Knicks, but the Celtics failed to get past the first round as the #2 Team in the East, and the #1 Seeded Pistons were stunned out of their shoes in the Conference Semifinals. The New York Knicks are looking to win their first NBA championship since 1973, but they await the winner of the Wester Conference Finals tomorrow. According to the First Take Team from ESPN, this Knicks team should be taken seriously.
I should point that the Knicks' Mitchell Robinson has underwent surgery for a broken pinky finger, yet he still intends to play alongside New York in the NBA Finals next week. If the Spurs win the West, we the fans will be treated to a rematch of the 1999 Finals, but if the Thunder win the East, then it will be a true David vs Goliath story. It seems that no matter wins between the Thunder and Spurs, the Knicks will be the underdogs because the sports betters have picked the Thunder and Spurs as favorites to win the title this year. That's pretty funny seeing as the Knicks will be the most rested team heading into the finals next week. Nonetheless, we will be treated for a fierce battle as Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals is this coming Wednesday at 8:30PM EST on ABC.
