HELLO KlicKNettars. We are back for another Wkly Hit List and we could not picked a great time to come back. The summer season is upon us with movies like Supergirl and Spider-Man: Brand New Day coming to theaters, there's the Fourth of July which will mark America's 250th Birthday and San Diego Comic-Con both coming in July, and in August we got events like WWE SummerSlam, D23, and AEW All In London. The 2026 FIFA World Cup began yesterday will carry out all throughout North America, oh and in case you don't know already, the New York Knicks are one win away their first NBA Finals Championship since 1973. I'd say that this Summer is gonna be hot, just as hot as the following 5-Day Rounder we've constructed for this brand new post.
Prepare yourselves for another Flashback Friday celebrating the fifth anniversary of our YouTube show FakeTV Box. Four years ago on June 21 , 2022, we rebranded our YouTube channel into KlicKNet and we would go on to expand the presence of our media brand across more social media platforms. This was a monumental moment for KlicKNet and FakeTV Box and we wanna celebrate by letting our KlicKNettars look back on the first FakeTV Box episode under the KlicKNet banner which premiered on June 29, 2022.
Our Inside Scoop this week takes us on a trip to Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Just about a week ago, new details came in regarding Monstropolis, the New Monsters Inc. Land coming to Hollywood Studios, most likely one or two years from now. Before we go any further here's a quick recap on this new land, it was first announced at the 2024 D23 Fan Event and it will include the first-ever suspended roller coaster at a Disney Park. Later on in 2024, Disney's Hollywood Studios would close down both Muppet*Vision 3D and the Grand Avenue area to make room for Monsters Inc., and in 2025 last year it was revealed that the new land will be called Monstropolis, the same name as the fictional city in which the Monsters Inc. franchise is set. If any of you KlicKNettars remember, we actually did a FakeTV Box episode about this back in 2024 which also include news about The Muppets leaving the 3D Theater on Grand Avenue and moving into Rock 'n' Roller Coaster on Sunset Boulevard.
As for the new details that we mentioned, they're actually the backstory of Monstropolis and lemme tell ya its pretty funny. According to a press release from Disney Experiences:
"The experience is built around H.U.M.A.N. Day, short for “Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice”, a citywide celebration that brings humans into the monster world for the first time. Set after the events of the original film, the story builds on the discovery by James P. Sullivan and Mike Wazowski that human laughter is significantly more powerful than screams. This breakthrough not only transformed the city’s energy source but also reshaped how monsters view the human world. Now, that shift has led to what’s being described within the city as a “historic decision.” For the first time, leaders are preparing to open the doors between worlds, inviting humans to experience Monstropolis."
"To support this new chapter, the city has established the Department of Human Relations, a newly formed team dedicated to helping monsters and humans better understand one another and preparing the city for this historic first encounter. H.U.M.A.N. Day serves as the backdrop for guests’ arrival into the monster world. Part celebration and part cultural exchange, humans are invited to explore Monstropolis, interact with its citizens, and experience the city firsthand as monsters and humans come together through laughter instead of fear. As the land continues to take shape, guests can expect a fully realized city filled with vibrant streets, working industries and recognizable locations inspired by the film. Iconic destinations such as Harryhausen’s restaurant and the Glob Theater will help bring Monstropolis to life."
This new experience is really paying homage to the Monster Inc. Land in a very big way, they've even put in a fake newspaper article. Several things to point out are the Harryhausen’s restaurant and the Glob Theater, it's more than likely that Harryhausen’s will replace Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano and The Glob Theater is going to replace Muppet*Vision 3D. So while Disney Fans are disappointed that their favorite Muppets attractions at Hollywood Studios, they should at the same time be excited by the new attractions themed Monster Inc.
