We have several announcements to make on the Wkly Hit List. First off, we're still planning celebrate Five Years of FakeTV Box this year with our LIVE Anniversary Special pushed to Monday, September 7th on Labor Day. Of course, it's gonna be a little difficult to plan because there a few episodes we wanna do before hand. Second announcement, it looking more likely that Rhodey, NY will be filmed this Summer, and for two good reasons. KlicKNet Productions has reached out to the main producer we'd hired back in June and they told us that both the script and budget need to be redone. I personally don't have a problem with it because our chances at shooting might be better if we do this. Final announcement, Wkly Hit List is going BI-WEEKLY and what that means is that there'll be new posts on our website every first and third Friday every month beginning September 4th. This means that we're off next week and you'll have new Wkly Hit List during Labor Day Weekend. To be honest, something tells me I'm gonna be real for the rest of the year and beyond, so I believe that doing this is good for the KlicKNet brand. Now moving on, we don't have a 5-Day Rounder this week, but what we do have is Flashback Friday. This classic episode of FakeTV Box does not have the regular host in it, instead it's got Tuck Tomeson talking some nonsense about Orange Thanos.
Our Inside Scoop this week is about one moment from last weekend's D23 Fan Event that does not get talked about enough, except for the site formerly known as Twitter. During the D23 Disney Experiences Showcase, it was announced that the rumored Tomorrowland Overhaul at Disneyland in Anaheim is coming true. Stuff like this makes you wanna say: "FINALLY, the wait has ended for a BRAND NEW TOMORROWLAND!" I've been picking up pointers from The Rock by the way. Now, we don't exactly know how and when Walt Disney Imagineers will reimagine Tomorrowland in Anaheim, but here's some information that we do know. According to insiders, Tomorrowland's reimagining has been prioritized ahead of the Avatar Experience planned for Disney California Adventure. In other words, after Disney completes the Coco Attraction and Avengers Campus expansion, the next major Disneyland Resort project will be Tomorrowland, followed by Avatar.
Have you ever heard of the phrase "Age Before Beauty?" That's literally what Disneyland Resort told its Avatar Land! The question is WHY? So we're going to tell you two theories about why Avatar at DCA has been delayed. With Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab both coming to Disney California Adventure in 2028, it would be wise for Disneyland Resort to let DCA bask in the glory of having its first original attraction built from the ground up since Cars Land in 2012. You can't count Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! and Spider-Man Web Slingers because they're rethemings of a Horror Show and a Pixar franchise which had Hayden Panettiere playing a cute little ant. People always ask me: "Kwame, what's the one place in the world that you wanna go to?" and my answer has always been California. I've actually been to the San Francisco Airport twice in one year and for a grand total of one hour. In 2015, my family and I took two flights to get from New York to Hawaii, and during that I lost my wallet in San Francisco. Rumor has it that Seth Rollins found the wallet after he chased in Money in the Bank at WrestleMania 31 and won the WWE Championship. I wonder if he still has the wallet after all these years.
Of course, that's not why I want to go back to California, I want to go back so I ride Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. These two rides will open after Avengers: Secret Wars comes to theaters which is quite fitting because while The Multiverse Saga in the MCU maybe coming to an end in 2027, it'll continue in the Golden State forever and ever and ever and ever. In 2028, Marvel fans all over the world are gonna be all over Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab like the maniacs that stormed the US Capitol, and that is what we call a "Fun Insurrection" or "Funsurrection!" which all of sudden sounds like a great name for a new Disneyland Roller Coaster. The bottom line is that the Resort should not solely focus on building ride after ride in Disney California Adventure when it's pretty obvious that the OG Disney Theme Park which was built in 1955 needs love ever once-in-a-lifetime. Now that's our first theory about why the Reimagining of Tomorrowland is happening first and the Avatar Experience is happening second, now here comes the second theory.
Disney California Adventure is not sure if it even can fit Avatar in the back of the Hollywood Land. When it was first announced in 2024, people were blown away that the franchise would have a presence in a theme park themed after California. But they also pointed out the size of Pandora at Disney's Animal Kingdom compared to where DCA plans to build its baby brother. It's possible that Disneyland Resort needs more time to figure out all the logistics of the new Avatar Experience and the timing of the announcement for Tomorrowland's Overhaul could not have been better. They wanna make sure that this Experience is done right in California, they wanna redo the script and budget of this Experience before the cameras start rolling and the magic begins. Anyone with a 20-page script and a proposed $4,000 budget plan that is way off normal film budgeting standards would understand what I'm talking about. If you look at the models of the Avatar Experience that were at the 2026 D23 Show Floor, they make you wanna say "Zootopia Who?" or "Zootopia What?" or "Zootopia Why?"
The models show that Disney California Adventure is fully committed to building Avatar no matter how long it takes to finally get the ball rolling. They don't wanna do Zootopia Land even though it would make a hell of a replacement for Hollywood Land, they want DCA guests to step into a world of Giant Blue Smurfs, become one with The Way of Water, and help themselves to a hot plate of Fire and Ash. So Disney California Adventure has got the necessary pieces into place to expand outward, and they're relying on Disneyland to afford them the time needed by letting the Tomorrowland Overhaul go right ahead with putting shovels to dirt. If you live in or near the Disneyland Resort Area, there's a way you help out, by donating shovels to Disneyland. I'm prepared to donate a shovel myself. Please help them help you bring forth a New Tomorrowland that's gonna speed up production of the DCA Avatar Area which is gonna send Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue on a permanent vacation to YesterLand.
