Wkly Hit List, 10/3/2026

Happy Third Day of October, KlicKNettars and welcome to a Saturday edition of the Wkly Hit List. We had a very important engagement yesterday and a "phony crisis" that we hope to straighten out in the weeks to come, if not days. As much as we will celebrate Halloween this month, especially through a Halloween Episode of FakeTV Box, we will also be doing some major coverage of the 2026 Midterm Elections, with special episodes of FakeTV Box too. Production may look a little different in these episodes due to that "phony crisis" we mentioned a few seconds ago, but we'll keep our chins up and make lemonade outta lemon per usual. For now, let's check out an all-new 5-Day Rounder that features one major story that we're going to talk about later in-depth.

We really thought that Summer 2026 would be when we film Rhodey, NY. Sadly, it was not for we have been face with some pre-production setbacks for the second year in a row, it's kinda like the opposite of our cruise vlog series "FakeTV On Deck" in 2024 and 2025. So fingers crossed for 2027 as the year that KlicKNet Productions' second major short film gets produced, and knowing that we have the right people on our side for help gives us some hope. Over the past couple of days, I thought you KlicKNettars might like to see the 2026 fundraising campaign video for Rhodey, NY from this past summer in a Saturday edition of Flashback Friday. You can except another one next year in 2027, this time with a finalization on just about everything.

Rhodey, NY's 2026 Campaign 🏙️🍎🎬 – Funding Levels Revealed

Our Inside Scoop this week is new update on the merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery, and trust us, it's a BIG ONE. Back in August when we last spoke about this merger, it was faced with lawsuits against the Coalition of 12 States and Writers' Guild of America. But just a few days ago, Paramount Skydance reached a settlement with the 12 states and WGA which was eventually approved by a judge this past Wednesday. So what does this mean you might ask but already know the answer, it's means that Batman vs SpongeBob crossover has been finalized, although we should be calling it the Batman and SpongeBob crossover. Nobody with the brains of Thomas Edison wanted this merger to happen, especially the ones in Hollywood, but like it or not, Tuesday, October 6th, 2026 will be the day Paramount and Warner Bros. combine into "Skydance Corporation." It's very surprising that they didn't choose to combine the Paramount and Warner Bros names together into some kind of cheesy word play.

But calling the new multinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate Skydance gives the impression to the KlicKNet team and me that Paramount didn't really win the bidding war for WB, for the real winner was "Skydance All Along." Somehow, Skydance went from being a high-profile production company to acquiring National Amusements and merging with Paramount Global to form Paramount Skydance – dare you to say that five times fast. Skydance has become "The Little Engine that Should be Dead," it was in 2006 founded by David Ellison who had major help from his rich dad Larry Ellison, and has produced several hit movies with Paramount Pictures like the Mission: Impossible film franchise, not to mention hit TV shows with Amazon Prime Video like Reacher. Skydance began its intent to merge with Paramount Global in an $8 billion transaction in 2024, under an agreement in which Skydance would acquire Paramount's controlling shareholder National Amusements.

Many people were opposed to this merger due to of David Ellison's growing support of the current President of the United States, and if they thought Paramount Skydance sucked for over a year, which is totally true 'cause go ask Stephen Colbert, then those people have no idea how right they about the merger of Paramount and Warner Bros. These two companies stayed separate from each for a reason, they both created so many incredible brands and franchises that have become part of all of our childhoods, but now they will become sub-brands under their new parent company while retaining their individual studio identities, which seems like a good thing depending on who you talk to. Also, David Ellison will serve alongside former Mattel chief executive Ynon Kreiz as co-CEO of the combined company, with Kreiz overseeing its day-to-day operations and integration, if you've seen Kreiz's picture, he looks like Alistair Krei from Disney's Big Hero 6. Lastly, Paramount Pictures co-chairs Josh Greenstein and Dana Goldberg will lead the combined Paramount and Warner Bros. film operation, succeeding Warner Bros. film chiefs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy. So that's all we could dig up about "Skydance Corporation" but, I do believe that we won't be finished with this conversation anytime soon.
